RIVER VIEW APARTMENT
We were appointed to take on the interior design of this wonderful period apartment overlooking the River Thames in Richmond. The client’s brief was to create a timeless, warm and uplifting interior which would make the most of the wide views, high ceilings and architectural features of the apartment. In the spacious sitting room, we incorporated panelling and built in seating using a palette of dark greys and blues to mirror the colours outside. The wonderful bay windows were highlighted in order to frame the incredible views of the river and sky beyond.
While neutral tones complemented the light at the front of the apartment, we used a richer colour palette to create atmosphere in the darker rooms at the back of the property. We worked with the north facing light of the kitchen to create a cosy and embracing space whilst the study and bedroom were given character and warmth through the use of beautiful, timeless wallpapers. The existing kitchen was updated with patterned floor tiles and a breakfast bar was included to make this an inviting and sociable space.
The planning phase of this project took 3 months and project management was undertaken in tandem with the client.
