The Process

We know that a design or renovation project, however big or small, can be daunting and can be difficult to get started. We want to make the process easier, whether you are looking for an individual room scheme or a whole house renovation. We are entirely flexible in our approach and can offer as little or as much help and support as you need. Although each project is unique, we broadly follow the steps below:

First steps Consultation

Following the initial call, most of our clients will book a First Steps Consultation. This is a hard-working consultation with you in your home for up to 2 hours which allows you to get to know us and explore the services that are right for you. It also allows us to understand the scope of your project in detail, enabling us to offer helpful advice and practical solutions. Following this, we will provide a written summary and a clear idea of how to proceed in order to achieve your vision. The cost of this is £295.

For some clients, the First Steps Consultation may be all they need to progress their project. For others, this will be just the beginning of our design journey, whether that is tailored help for a particular room or design aspect or a complete project specification. Once we’ve agreed on the approach we can either provide an ad hoc service based on our hourly rate or provide you with a bespoke proposal broken down into phases of work .

1:1 online sessions

For those who may be further away, or just need something a little different, we offer 1:1 online sessions, available via Zoom at £150 per hour. This is a great way to get a professional eye to run past your thoughts and ideas, whether that’s choosing the right furniture, guidance on sourcing or a colour consultation. Consultations offer a completely flexible way in which to tap into our expertise.

Colour Consultancy

We have a passion for colour and believe that it is the easiest way to transform your home. Colour is hugely impactful and the right colour combination can be the secret ingredient to creating a beautiful space. Whatever the style or period of your property, we can provide you with everything you need for the perfect palette. We understand that the endless possibilities, different colour combinations and sheer number of paint brands, can be overwhelming. We will help you navigate through this to choose colours with confidence. We are not limited to choosing colours from the palettes of a single brand and will bring the space to life with colours that reflect your individual personality and style.

Space Planning

Floor plans are an essential part of any home renovation as they give an overview of how everything sits within the space. They help us to consider the layout of the space but more specifically its function; personalising it to your lifestyle and needs. Understanding how you use the space is key and we will delve deep to discover what you need - entertaining guests, working from home, how often you cook and importantly, how much storage you need. We will optimise the space and ensure it suits your routines and the changing needs of your family.

Decorating With Art

Decorating with art is an inspiring and joyful process as it offers countless ways of expressing your personality. It is often the key to a successful scheme and is a wonderful starting point to designing a colour palette. It will bring depth and interest to your home. We understand that art is personal and love to work with your existing pieces as well as introducing you to our curated gallery. At Artdrop London, we source wonderful vintage oil paintings from across Europe and are passionate about combining these with contemporary design. A playful blend of old and new.
